At present, Jayrow Helicopters operates a single-pilot SA365N Dauphin Helicopter capable of carrying two patients and/or five passengers a total of approximately 600km at a standard cruise speed of 240km/hr. This capability can be conducted under the Visual Flying Rules or Instrument Flying Rules. The aircraft can be fitted with a Goodrich external mounted rescue hoist capable of lifting 275kg (600lbs) with 250ft of cable, Nitesun search light, and “bambi bucket” for fire suppression on the hook underneath the aircraft.

The medical fitout in the aircraft has been designed in consultation with the Queensland Ambulance Service to provide the most capable patient transfer vehicle available. All of this equipment can be removed from the aircraft in a relatively short time-frame to set the aircraft up for the SAR or fire fighting roles giving the aircraft greater fuel load and/or external load capability.

Jayrow Helicopters is committed to continuing its support to the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service by providing first class personnel and equipment to aid them in providing a world class service to the community of Central Queensland.
